Obituary

Bobby Gene Spruill, 81, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Bobby was born in Columbia, NC on May 19, 1934. He was a dedicated and hard worker. He served in the United States Army, worked on a tug boat, and retired from the Ford Motor Company after 35 years. Bobby was also a Past Master of the Kempsville Masonic Lodge #196, and in more recent years, joined the family business working as the scale operator for United Disposal.

Bobby was a loving and devoted husband, father and "Papa" who will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Betty Spruill of Norfolk, VA; his son Bradley Spruill of Norfolk, VA; and by his parents Noah and Mae Spruill of Columbia, NC.

Bobby is survived by his children Carl Spruill of Columbia, NC; Renea (Eddie) Ormond of Princeton, NC; Scott (Ashley) Spruill of Virginia Beach; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
